I changed my valve cover gasket today! One small step for weekend mechanics, one giant leap for D. Got to use some of the tools Santa/dad brought me.
There's the cover, looking fine as frick. Used to be all dark with oil seepage, especially towards the back. No more.
Also gave the car a head-to-toe wash. The wheels look great when clean, I wish they could stay like this forever.

nice work! How difficult would you consider the job?

It was pretty easy, to be honest. You'll need a couple of tools/supplies (nothing you can't use for future jobs though). Not a lot of technical work—I spent most of my time scrubbing the valve cover and letting it dry. I found this guide very helpful:

Good for you! I have to do the same on the Taco...I know they're under all of this stuff, somewhere... (took this along with other pics so I can remember how to put it back together when I'm done).
